Murder on the Orient Express

Classic movie/novel. One of my all-time favorites. Watching it right now. Fun fact: the original Orient Express route in 1883 from Paris ended in Istanbul at Sirkeci Station. I took many o' picture while there solely because of my love for Agatha Christie. Right now I'm in a depressive mood because I'm no longer in the fine city of Istanbul.

I have also had 1/2 bottle of wine...that might have something to do with my nostalgia.




Oooo someone just died. The movie has reached the good part!

Home for less than 3 days and I already had to get out of Milwaukee. The girls and I enjoyed an awesome weekend in good old Eau Claire, WI saying goodbye to a great friend who is moving to South Korea for the next year. Masallah.

Unfortunately the honeymoon of sitting around and doing nothing is over; it's off to Chicago for the next few days in the attempt to find an apartment. Apparently it doesn't matter that I will still be traversing the globe until December.

Next on the list: buy my plane ticket to India. Already counting down the days :)

Starting Over

I've only been gone for 2 months, but I'm already realizing how many things I got used to in Turkiye. Now it's time to get used to things back in the States...

Commercials during TV shows

Drivers staying in their lane, following lights, the silence of no honking

Dairy products made from cow

Flowers that aren't bright, or only last a few weeks

My parents

Pork

Church

Walking outside in 80 degree weather and having to put on a long sleeve shirt because I'm cold

Toliet paper goes in the toliet, not the garbage can next to the toliet
